Monday, @ 9:08pm

JoLinda had a good night. She had a shower this morning which always makes you feel good. She is not just making sounds now, but is moving her mouth and talking. She is walking very well, and is much more stable. She even got to walk outside abit and did 1/2 flight of stairs. She wrote her name in full and Brenton's name in full. Also wrote Jovi and Beau and said their names. She said mom today too and when Rich was stopping her from pulling her feeding tube she said dang you Rich! Everything has been stupid to her today. She is even blowing kisses and hugging the boys and kissing them too. Anyway, through another day and going to try to get some rest. Rich is with her again tonight. I'm greatful for his help and support. Love you all, Laurie

Dear Laurie -

Hi there this is Brittney. I was very sad to hear about what happened. I went to your house and no one was home. Then I went to the hospital and asked for there names but they weren't there. I later found out where everyone is and josh told me about this site. I cant tell you how happy I am to hear about her recovery!! It sounds like she is coming along pretty well. I have kept her in my prayers. Thank you for making this page and please tell her I say hi and wish her well. Love/Brittney

Dear Laurie,
I just found out about your daughter, Jolinda's motorcycle accident and I wanted to wish her a speedy recovery. I am one of your visiting teachers, the older one, Sylvia. Her accident injuries brought back memories of my own motorcycle accident that occured on my seventeenth birthday; though her injuries are more extensive. I split my upper jaw, broke my nose, cheekbones, fractured my left eye socket and gashed my forehead. I was in surgery for six hours and the doctor attached a wire from my skull to my jaw inside my skin to hold up my face. I had my teeth wired for three or so weeks. I was very fortunate; I was back to school in a month though I still had swelling and the wires were still there until the doctors removed them. How do I look now? Quite normal; though, if you look closely, my left eye is slightly pushed in more than my right eye and I have a few minimal scars. My accident was my greatest trial of my youth but I got through it just fine thanks to support from family, friends and my father in heaven. I have a testimony of the power of the priesthood since my recovery was remarkable. I felt my Heavenly Father's arms around me during my darkest hours. Before the accident, I was carefree and showy; Now I am cautious and humble. I learned at an early age whom I could rely on and I am much stronger for it.

You're in my prayers,

Sylvia Andrew
